FRIDA FARRELL - THE ACTOR / PRODUCER

ALL ABOUT ME

Beginning as a successful international model, Frida expanded her career into the film business when she moved from New York City to London, where she studied acting at Central School of Speech and Drama, one of London's most prestigious acting schools.

A few years later, director Johnny Williamson spotted Frida’s talent in a production just off West End, and hired her in the lead role for TANLINES — her debut feature film. TANLINES won the award for Best Cinematography at the Tribeca Film Festival 2005.

Frida completed five more features in London: FOOTBALL FACTORY, VENUS DROWNING, AFTERMAN 2, THE BOX, and MESSAGES with Jeff Fahey, before taking the big step and moving to Hollywood.

Although new in town, Frida successfully signed with a high-profile ICM agent. She has since completed another nine feature films, one pilot, guest starred in Bones on FOX, and won an award for BREAKOUT FEMALE STAR at the Action on Film Festival in Hollywood for her star performance in CONTRACT KILLERS with Nick Mancuso.

CONTRACT KILLERS took home another four awards, including two BEST PICTURE awards: one of them against Tom Hanks' film THE GREAT BUCK HOWARD.

Other work includes STILETTO with Tom Berenger and Michael Biehn, KILLER WEEKEND with Eric Roberts, CHROME ANGELS with Stacy Dash and Paul Le Mat, CYCLOPS with Eric Roberts, LOST COLONY with Adrian Paul and DIRTY DEALING with Michael Madsen and C Thomas Howell.

In 2010, Frida decided to break deeper into the business and take control of her future by starting her own production company together with her dearest friend, writer-director Glynn Turner and DEVELOPMENT HELL PICTURES was born.

In eight months, Frida has produced three short films, PENNILESS, THE APPOINTMENT, TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT and the pilot of the webseries SERIOUSLY WOUNDED.

Terms of Employment went on to WIN 6 awards and get nominated 26 times. Frida got nominated for BEST ACTRESS twice for her role in that film.
